PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation & Practitioner Course with Official Exams
Introduction

The target audience for this qualification is:

  • Agile professionals, project managers and aspiring project managers who want to be able to combine PRINCE2® and Agile in the most effective way when using PRINCE2®, Agile behaviours, concepts, frameworks and techniques.

  • Other key delivery team staff, including: product owners, Scrum Masters and developers.

  • Business professionals with an interest in iterative and incremental project delivery through collaborative working.

 

The purpose of the PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation Examination is to assess whether the candidate can demonstrate sufficient recall and understanding of the PRINCE2 Agile® project management method. No prerequisites are needed to take this examination.

The purpose of the PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner Examination is to assess the ability to apply understanding of the PRINCE2 Agile® project management method in context. To sit the PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner exam you must hold any of the following certifications:

  • PRINCE2® Foundation

  • PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation

  • PRINCE2® Practitioner

  • Project Management Professional® (PMP)

  • Certified Associate in Project Management® (CAPM) IPMA® Levels A, B, C and D (Certified Projects Director)

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the delegates will be able to:

  • Understand key concepts relating to projects and PRINCE2®

  • Understand key concepts relating to projects and PRINCE2 Agile®

  • Understand how PRINCE2® principles, themes, processes and management products are tailored and/or applied in an agile context

  • Understand the agile ways of working, key terms and techniques.

  • Understand the focus areas in an agile context

  • Understand the concepts of common agile ways of working.

  • Understand the purpose and context for combining PRINCE2® and the agile way of working.

  • Apply and evaluate the focus areas to a project in an agile context.

  • Fix and flex the six aspects of a project in an agile context.

  • Apply or tailor the PRINCE2® themes, processes and management products for a project in an agile context.

  • Sit the PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner exams.

Foundation Exam Overview

Material allowed: None (This is a 'closed book' exam.)
Exam duration: 60 minutes
Number of marks: 50 marks
Pass mark: 28 marks (56% or above)
Level of thinking: Bloom’s levels 1 & 2
Question types: Classic, Missing word, & List (The questions are all 'multiple choice'.)

Practitioner Exam Overview

Material allowed: This is an 'open book' exam. (PRINCE2 Agile® manual only)
Exam duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes)
Number of marks: 50 marks
Pass mark: 30 marks (60% or above)
Level of thinking: Bloom’s levels 3 & 4
Exam format: Scenario, additional information & questions
Question types: Classic & matching 'multiple choice'.

“Bloom’s level” describes the type of thinking needed to answer the question.
For Bloom’s level 1 questions, you need to recall information about the PRINCE2® method.
For Bloom’s Level 2 questions, you need to show understanding of these concepts.
For Bloom’s level 3 questions, you need to apply your knowledge to a situation.
For Bloom’s level 4 questions, you need to analyze the information provided and reason whether a course of action is effective/appropriate.
